Newark Liberty Airport is equipped with everything you need to serve passengers. The terminal has information points, Newark Airport departure boards, waiting rooms, check-in desks and security posts. Barrier-free environment is organized for disabled passengers, and personal assistance is provided for them when moving around the airport, embarking and disembarking from the aircraft.
Passengers of most airlines can check in online. Online check-in begins 24 hours before EWR departure and is available on the airline’s website. You can check in in advance for your flight and choose your seat on the plane. Boarding passes can be printed out on your own or received at the registration desk at Newark Liberty Airport.
The airport offers a wide range of services: baggage packing, luggage storage, luggage carts, medical aid stations, mother and baby rooms, Wi-Fi Internet, and places to charge mobile devices. Newark Liberty Airport has stores, restaurants, bars and cafes, and executive lounges. There are bank branches, travel agencies, car rentals, parking, hotels, post offices, and cab reservations.
Check-in
The following time requirements must be kept in mind:
- Check-in closes in 60 minutes before Newark departures.
- Go through the security checkpoint at least 35 minutes before departure.
- Wait near your gate at least 30 minutes before departure. Reserve the time you need to get to the gate. If we have your contact information, we will try to contact you before announcing the end of boarding, but we will not delay your departure due to late passengers.

Lounges
If you are traveling in economy class, you can take advantage of Newark’s dedicated airport lounges for comfortable waiting either by paying extra for this service on a one-time basis or by using your membership in one or the other program.
American Airlines Admirals Club — Location: Terminal, Common Access Area, near Gate 30. Lounge access: pay at the door ($59.00) — Admirals Club Membership.
United Club — Location: Terminal A2, Common Access Area, near Gate 20. Lounge access: pay at the door ($59.00) — United Club Membership.
Art & Lounge — Location: Terminal B, Common Access Area, between Halls B3 and B2 or Gates 50 and 60. Access to the Lounge: by pass ($35.00).
Delta Sky Club — Location: Terminal B, Common Access Area, between the Main and Satellite Buildings. Lounge access: pay at the door ($59.00) — Delta Sky Club Membership.
United Club — Location: Terminal C1, Common Access Area, across from Gate 74. Lounge access: pay at the door ($59.00) — United Club Membership.
United Club — Location: Terminal C2/3, Common Access Area, between Halls C2 and C3. Showers available. Lounge access: pay at the door ($59.00) — United Club Membership.
USO Lounge — The USO offers complimentary rooms for service members and their families. In-room amenities include video games, TV lounge, snacks, showers, computers and a library. Location: Terminal B, Level 2, Room 9.
