Philadelphia Airport (PHL) is located about 15 kilometers from the city center of the East Coast metropolis and is characterized by its good transport links. The two Interstates I-95 and I-76 as well as Route 291 pass through Philadelphia International Airport. There is space for almost 20,000 vehicles on the airport grounds. The parking lots and houses are located directly opposite the Terminals and can be reached by short distances. The first plane landed on the present site of Philadelphia Airport as early as 1927. At that time, the airport consisted only of a simple runway.
